Dear visitors,

Blogging activities have been mushrooming recently in Malaysia, a country is deemed to have low press freedom. Its draconian law such as the ISA, OSA, Printing Act etc were use as deterrent for people to openly expressing their views. Certain issues on human right or rather racial rights are deemed sensitive and are prohibitive to discuss openly. It is common saying "let check people around us before we discuss" in Malaysia before a group people initiate a deemed sensitive topic. Reason being, they are fear of being arrested under the ISA. You would ask isn't that a phenomena of the past back in 40 years ago after the race riot in 1969. Well, the answer to your question will be a barometer of the state of freedom of speech and mentality advance of our policy setter generally quoted as politician in this beloved country. To have good summary on the evolvement of Malaysian potilical changes since independence in 1957 and its implication to the nation, i strongly suggestion you read this "article of the century" by Datuk Zaid: malaysia, a lost democracy.
